In this project, new insights and directions for the sustainable city have been investigated by implementing a design methodology which contains theoretical knowledge, technological inspiration and environmental intelligence. The main goal is to produce technological responses and sustainable solutions within existing city of Amsterdam. The intervention is aimed to create a more sustainable area by reducing the fossil fuel, creating public green areas and generating a new heat resource system in the area. A car free zone street has been created and covered by a greenhouse as a source of energy and at the same time, as a market for fruits and vegetables. A shading system with BIPV panels is attached to one side of the greenhouse to produce electericity and protect the pedestrian from wind and rain.
